Better late than never!!!

First of all I would like to say sorry for this post being a few days late and for missing the main blog post all together!!  I have been a very poorly cookie but seeing as I am feeling a little better now I thought I would get this done and give you all a quick reminder of the fabulous challenge that is going on.

We'd like you to create something crafty from...

Your favorite Song / Movie

Please let us know in your post the song/movie of your choice!

This week we're sponsored by the one and only...

Yep the lovely talented lady Krista Smith has kindly sponsored us this week, with the winner being able to choose TWO of her fantastic Digital designs from her etsy shop here!

I am sure many, if not all of you are aware of how amazing Krista is and I am sure this is going to be a popular challenge.

I have created two cards for this...... one movie and one song!

First up is my 'Rocky Horror Picture Show card'........ (not happy with this at all but I do love Krista's Usherette image!)

Card number 2 is one of my all time favourite songs by (in my opinion!) the greatest band ever!!!

Its 'Kings and Queens' by 30 Seconds to Mars

These gorgeous kiddies are Oscar and Lilly from Jude and the Rockers Limited Digis from SBS.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this track here (hopefully is a link to you tube to watch it!!!

I hope you can notice the little details from the video that I have chosen to use in this card.

Thanks for looking.

Check out the main blog and see what the awesome DT have done for your inspiration (the link is at the top of the page) and get your entry done!!!!!

Spunky Spooks - Lucy Lycan and Lex

Happy Wednesday blog land! Today we have a fourth preview, and today is RELEASE day! Yep release day! I am so excited for you all to see the rest of the Spunky Spooks and you can now order them all and see them all at Simply B Stamps.net  These have been released pre-maturely due to personal reasons. BUT! I promise you are going to love the rest of the gals! Let's see who is peeking her little head out today to meet you...

Is there a Full Moon tonight? If there is, you'll find Lucy Lycan and Lex having a wild old time in their beloved woodland home. Lucy is a bit of a mystery, as we don't know much about her family, we just know she seems to have an affinity with wolves, foxes and other canines! Don't ask her too many question tho, as she has a tendancy to bite when annoyed!!

See you tomorrow for another of the gorgeous girls!

Haunting Hannah and Hoot. SBS preview day no.2 !!

Welcome back to another spooky preview at Simply B Stamps. We are getting rather spooky today with the adorable Haunting Hannah and her friend Hoot. Hannah loves haunting, she was a hippy in her previous life, so has always been a bit of a free spirit; so being able to float through locked doors and walls is a great adventure for her. Haunting is not much fun on your own tho, so you'll find Hoot is always by Hannah's side to keep her company.

Doesn't she look at home in her spooky graveyard?!   The image is coloured using prisma pencils, still need lots of practice but loving them anyway.  I finished this off using a length of chain link and a little key charm and my three newest Memory Box dies.

Don't forget to see what the talented Design Team have been upto over on the SBS Blog.

See you tomorrow for day no3........  mmmmm now is she my favourite??  Could well be but then then they are all pretty fabulous!!

Have a great day and please let me know what you think.

SBS Challenge- Celebrations

Wow.... you wouldn't believe just how busy I am at the moment but all will become clear very soon!!  I am currently nothing but a pile of glue, glitter, embossing powder, pearls and pens right now!!  My living room resembles a nursey school art class!!!

During all the mayhem I managed to knock up this little card for My Mum's Craft Shop using the fabulous 'On the Go' papers from Bo Bunny.  These are brand new in the shop and are perfect for any young man with an obsession for vehicles.  I teamed them up with some funky arrows from Tando crafts grab bag and coloured them to match with my promarkers.

Now the image is a bit special...... it is infact a christmas clear stamp from Simply Betty Stamps and is called Christmas morning Oscar (he can be purchased here) from Betty herself.

I love the fact that there is nothing specialy christmasy about him so he is perfect for birthdays too.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges....

I do love to hear your comments.

SBS Monthly challenge- Treat bag

Good evening peeps....

Just a quicky from me tonight as my asthma is very bad and I am already snuggled up in bed hooked up to my machines ready for the night!

So here it is......

This is my treat bag!  I have used the stunning Betty Addams from SBS and this time coloured her using my copics!  I have also used the large Tim Holtz grunge board flourish and distressed it with the 'Barn Door' ink pad.
I finally got my hands on the Memory box Country cottage and fence dies that have been sat in customs for a while so I just had to include them here!!  And it is all just finishes off with some scraps of ribbon, a few black gems and a clockpiece charm.

MMCS challenge 49...... use a digi.

Good morning crafters..

I hope you are all well.... now I know that you all love your stamps but how do you feel about your digis???

This week we are sponsored by the fabby Bugaboo!! whoop!!

So we thought we would challenge you to GET DIGITAL!! Yep digital images only for this challenge...
I decided to do something a bit different this time just to show how versatile digital images can be.......
A T-SHIRT!!!!

As regular followers will know by now I am a massive Simply B Stamps fan and this is just another of her adorable images.  At present this image (Lolli from The Croquettes collection) is only available in clear stamp form, I was lucky enough to grab her when she was digi aswell.  Although Betty is always doing different limited digi releases so you never know when these will pop back again!  Become a follower of the blog http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.co.uk/ so you don't miss out on anything!

I blew this image up to full A4 size using the GIMP programme which is free to download from here http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
I then printed it in black and white onto T-shirt transfere paper.  I took my time with lining it up and ironing it to the t-shirt just to make sure it was as perfect as I could get it.  It is then very important to let the transfere cool before pealing off the backing paper.
I then set to work colouring her!!  I used my Promarkers again (having already done a trial run before....which is a whole other story(!!) I know that the colour doesn't bleed or wash out.

This was made as a pressie for my beautiful niece...... who, and I quote, said....."This is my most favourite top I have ever seen and I am going to wear it everyday in the holidays!!"
You have to admit she does look gorgeous..... or am I just bias??

Having one offs like this makes her feel like a real princess and oh boy, does she like everyone to know it!!!
I am sure any child would love tops like this and there are so many fabulous digital images out there why not give it a go??

Don't forget to check out the main MMCS challenge blog to see what my super talent teamies have been up to.  And give it a go yourself..... why not try something a little different???

Have you been over to MMCS online store yet??  There are loads of fabulous new goodies in there and it is definatly well worth a look....... just please don't come after me if you end up spending!!

Would love to hear what you think of this.

Halloween Hangover

Beware of the Mummy!

Well I am slowly beginning to catch up with everything even though I have taken another down turn with the asthma and seem to have developed a cold on top of everything else!!  So whilst I have been feeling a touch better I decided I should do at least one challenge card.  I seem nto have backed off of entering challenges at the moment but I think that is purely the time of year.  I must get back on track!!

Anyway...... this card is for the 12 months of halloween challenge at Simply B Stamps.  The instructions
for this were to use only black and white with one other 'halloween' colour....ie- red, orange, lime green or purple.

Here is my card.....

It may not be very 'Halloweeny' but sometimes seeing me first thing in the morning is far worse than any frights you would get from even the scariest of horror films!!
It has even been joked that I would scare anything away!
So that is why I chose to do this.......  Plus I was just itching to colour the new Betty images!

The image is 'Morning Betty' from the limited digi release at SBS.  If you were unlucky enough to miss this special then she will be available from April in rubber only.
I have coloured her using my cool grey range of promarkers and also my new prisma pencils.
She had to have a hint of the blood shot eye, and I think the red distressed background helps to pick that out.

I would love to read what you think of her.

TTFN!!

Simply B Stamps. Simply Challenged No1 entry no.2

Hey look at this ..... 2 posts in one day!!  And with no glasses too... (long story but please excuse any typos, things are a bit fuzzy!)

This is my second entry for the SBS Challenge.  I have had this almost finished for a while and even after braking my glasses this morning I still wanted to finish it.

I have used Valentine Betty and the papers are all from "Be Mine" by Echo Park.  I used a chipboard frame coloured with my promarkers and a few other sticky hearts and flowers to finish.

The photo isn't all that great and doesn't really show its dimension to its best.  Much better in person!
Right I am off for another lie down.....hopefully I might have some good news from the opticians tomorrow.

Night night friends
xx

Simply B stamps. Simply Challenged No 1

Well who would've thought we would be here in February already!!   Dare I say it but it will be Christmas before we know it!! LOL!!  OK OK stop throwing things at me please!!!

So far my new years resolutions have flown out of the window so I have made them again.  The first one is to get more organised with my challenge entries and DT work.  So to start things off my entry for the first challenge of the year goes to Simply B stamps, ok so its no surprise.  Everyone knows what a fan I am so it was kinda the only way to go really!

This first challenge was to use any "Betty" stamp or image from any of the different collections.  I chose to use the new "Scrapbooking Betty" who I think is just adorable.  All of the papers used are from the same set but I couldn't tell you what it was!! Sorry.  I kept all the colours within the same palette and finished off with some bakers twine.  I didn't use a sentiment as this card can be used for all sorts of different things, even just to write a note.

Hope you like!

See you soon xxxxx
