Simply B Stamps, 13 Days of Halloween Day 12, Haunted Houses

So we are nearly there...... its nearly Halloween...... and here is our penultimate challenge

HAUNTED HOUSE

This time all you have to do is include a haunted house in your project and include a SBS image.

Now me being me, decided to do something a bit different again!
I thought I would have a go at a configurations box..... although this one is the shape of a house.

(with flash)

(without flash, the glow in the dark doesn't show up to well, but at least you can see there is a candle)

In the picture frame I have used Asenath from the Evermoor Steampunk collection.

The eyes on the back wall are glow in the dark!

These two are Gillian the Ghost Bride and Draco the Ghost Gent from the Steampunk Halloween collection.

I included lots of things you would find in a Haunted House.

This is my last inspiration piece for these challenges and I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have.
It was so much fun doing different things and I certianly 'challenged' myself!

Now I can let out a big sigh and prepare for next year!!!

That Craft Place, Tic Tac Toe

This week its Louise's turn to host the challenge and this time its

TIC TAC TOE

Choose any line or row or even diagonal, hell, why not even do a full house, to complete your project!!

I chose the top line, though I guess I quailfy for the first row as well!

I have used the super super cute CC designs stamps and dies again..... I love these little cuties!!
Here is my wall hanging!

Don't forget to see what the other girls have done and get your entry in.

Oh and have a WICKED Halloween!!

I would like to enter this into

Simply B Stamps - Jude and the Rockers Nativity

Today we are bringing you some new images form SBS and this time it is the turn of Jude and the Rockers to come out and play.

Before we get on to what I have made we are doing a hop! And as an extra treat we have some of our 13 Days of Halloween winners joining in the fun.   They each won an image from this release and got to join in with us!
Show the girls some support they have done an awesome job again!

Here is the order..... so get hopping!!

I imagine these little cuties taking part in a school play, so that's what I did!

My gorgeous OH 'built' the stable for me.

(yes that is the washing behind him..... I let him off his chores so he could do this for me!!)
He really is a good egg though!

I coloured all the characters up and had fun with the stickles (not that the piccies show that to well).  After all no Nativity is complete with about a bit of glitter and tinsel!

I am donating this to our local church.  My mum helps run the 'toddler praise' and I thought this would be really sweet for them to have in their special corner of the church!   I have left plenty of room in the stable because knowing the little monkeys that go, they will be wanting to add dinosaurs and frogs to the scene!!

I will have to get some more photos once it is in situ!

I hope you like my stable.  I am loving making lots of different things rather than just cards.

Now pop on over to the other girls and leave some love!!

Who knows what Betty has up her sleeve for us in the future......!!

Simply B Stamps, 13 Days of Halloween Challenges Day 10, Big Screen

Today's challenge is to take an SBS  image and transform it to resemble a favourite character from the big screen.  Someone scary, spooky or kooky.  A witch, a wizard, a vampire or anything else that takes your fancy BUT you must use an image that isn't already designed for that character..... (more detailed guidelines can be found on the challenge blog)
Now you can have lots of fun with this one!!!
(Although didn't go quite as well as planned!)

I have used my ABSOLUTE favourite SBS image......

LAVINIA OUTING

and coloured her to resemble

THE SNOW QUEEN

I had big plans for this but unfortunatley my drawing skills let me down tremdiously!

I hope you like how she is coloured.
Over to you lot now!!!!!

Getting in the mood for Christmas

I am slowly preparing myself for Halloween to be over by starting on some more Christmas projects!!
A few weeks ago I did a 'Cookies for Santa' plate using an image from Simply B Stamps and it worked really well so I decided to do another!
This time I used the super cute "I'm a Christmas Tree" from Teddy Bo

I have made this plate for my nephew Gethyn ready for him to leave out his cookies for Santa.
This time Teddy Bo is coloured using my copics.
The whole plate is coated in a couple layers of Mod Podge to seal it.

I hope you like!!

SBS, 13 Days of Halloween, Day 8, Skeleton Dance

This month is flying by!

Here we are with challenge number 8 and this time it is all about

Black,White and Bones!

Today I made a card!

I have used Zombie Lola from the Everyday Zombie Teens.

How fabulous is that dancing skeleton ribbon??  That was a gift from the gorgeous Corinne, it was one of my many pressies in our tumbler swap a few months ago.
The background for this card is made from the stringy stuff everywhere is selling as spiderwebs.  I couldn't decide on a paper to use and I thought this would add a bit of texture.
Lola is actually on home made springs.... I didn't have any of the 'wobble' things so I made my own by folding paper over and over on itself... (just like we did at school).
It worked.... she bobs around now.... just like she is scared of the dancing skeletons!!

Now its over to you again!!

As usual all the details and more inspiration can be found over on the challenge blog.

Have fun!!

Teddy Bo Halloween card

As soon as I saw this gorgeous image from Teddy Bo, I knew he had to come and live with me!!
This is just perfect for little nephew and I know he will love it come Halloween..... I am even thinking he might have to have a t-shirt with this image on aswell!

So here is Gethyn's card

I teamed him up with the Happy Haunting papers from Graphic 45 because I am slightly obsessed with them!!
The die is 'Graveyard Landscape' from Memory Box.
I coloured this up with my promarkers.

I tried to give a glow from the candle.

How adorable is the little bat!!!

Simply B Stamps, 13 Days of Halloween Day 7, Grave Digger

We are certainly flying through these challenges aren't we?

So are you ready for day 7?

This time the challenge is all about
GRAVE DIGGING!

We want to see your projects containing headstones and graveyards.

I have made a Welcome sign.....

This will be hung on my front door to welcome the Trick or Treaters on Halloween night.

The images I have used are Vampiress Tilly from the Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween digital set.
The background is a brand new image from Delicious Doodles called The Graveyard.

I tried to make her dress look like shiney PVC...... needs practice but it was good to do something different.

I hope you like my sign and you feel inspired to have a go at something aswell.
Pop on over to the challenge blog to see what the other girls have been upto and to link in your challenge.

Simply B Stamps, 13 Days of Halloween Challenges -Day 5

So how are you liking these 13 days of Halloween Challenges?  Are you ready for Day 5??

This time we want to see spiders and cobwebs!

WHAT A WICKED WEB WE WEAVE

For those of you who follow my blog and know me through the FB, you will know that I am trying hard to steer away from cards at the moment and get messy with bigger projects.....

...... well this is no exception!

I have no idea at all why I decided to do this but I am so glad I have.
I have made a Mad Hatters Hat!!!

Yeap, made from scratch!!  This started life as one of my large cardboard pattern cutting mats from when I used to make wedding dresses!!  It was a fair amount of work and yes, it is huge!!!
I paper mached over the cardboard with black crepe paper then gave it a good coat of black spray paint.
I then covered it in black organza by hand sewing it to fit the shape of the cardboard base.  I used some fabulous black and silver spider covered organza to wrap around and make a band for it.

I used Spiderella from the Spooky Hollow digis.

I tucked this in the band, just as the Mad hatter has cards tucked in his!
I had to add some small creepy crawlies!!

And how about this for a spider?  I thought he was perfect for this hat.  Huge and silver! This sits right at the very back.

So what do you think??  Spiders don't have to be creepy, they can be fun as well and I hope I have achieved that by doing something different.

Don't forget the great prizes that we have up for grabs and to visit the challenge blog to see the other creepy crawlies that the girls have been playing with and to add your entry!

Simply B Stamps, 13 days of Halloween Challenge 4

So are you ready for another challenge?

Day 4 of our 13 days of Halloween challenges is here and this time its ...

MAKE IT GLOW

I used the digital image Winnie from Wickidz available in the shop.  I thought she was perfect for this challenge.  I have used two different techniques to add glow to my shadow box.

The first was basic colouring using my copics.... I started using a pale yellow around the flame of the candles and worked in a light grey.  I used flicking strokes to help create the illusion of flickering candles and graded the colour from light to dark.

The second technique ...... ok not a technique at all but its great all the same!!
My lovely friend Sheri in America sent me some fabulous Glow in the dark paint in a squeezey bottle!
I am so in love with this stuff!!!!

It doesn't photograph to well but you get the idea!!
I used it to highlight the liquid in Winnie's potion bottles, smoke puffs and the drips on the drippy goo border (a pressie from the gorgeous Erin!).
I also part filled a Tim Holtz alterations glass vial with it as I love the depth of glow it gives.

Hope you like and this has given you some ideas for your Glowing projects!
Check out our challenge blog for other DT creations and to enter yours......
