Better late than never!!!

First of all I would like to say sorry for this post being a few days late and for missing the main blog post all together!!  I have been a very poorly cookie but seeing as I am feeling a little better now I thought I would get this done and give you all a quick reminder of the fabulous challenge that is going on.

We'd like you to create something crafty from...

Your favorite Song / Movie

Please let us know in your post the song/movie of your choice!

This week we're sponsored by the one and only...

Yep the lovely talented lady Krista Smith has kindly sponsored us this week, with the winner being able to choose TWO of her fantastic Digital designs from her etsy shop here!

I am sure many, if not all of you are aware of how amazing Krista is and I am sure this is going to be a popular challenge.

I have created two cards for this...... one movie and one song!

First up is my 'Rocky Horror Picture Show card'........ (not happy with this at all but I do love Krista's Usherette image!)

Card number 2 is one of my all time favourite songs by (in my opinion!) the greatest band ever!!!

Its 'Kings and Queens' by 30 Seconds to Mars

These gorgeous kiddies are Oscar and Lilly from Jude and the Rockers Limited Digis from SBS.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this track here (hopefully is a link to you tube to watch it!!!

I hope you can notice the little details from the video that I have chosen to use in this card.

Thanks for looking.

Check out the main blog and see what the awesome DT have done for your inspiration (the link is at the top of the page) and get your entry done!!!!!

Monochromatic

My latest card is for the Monochromatic Challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop.  Any colour could be chosen but I decided to stick to black and white.  This is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be.  I chose this image of Tilda because whenever we feel gray we need a hug so thought this would work well.  I spent hours working on her (and I mean hours) using my gorgous copics......C1, C3, C5 and the tinniest dot of C7.  I am pleased with how she has come out although I can see where I would do things differently and whaty I need to work on.  I finished the card using black and white card from my ever growing stash along with satin roses, a hat pin and some other other bits and pieces.

Here is a closer picture of the colour (or lack of colour!!!) work.
Thanks for looking,
Take care and see you all soon xxx

My mum's craft shop challenge- a card for a teen

I decided to do something a little different from my usual 'thing' for this card.  I had Edwin and his car already coloured but could never really find the right idea to use them with.  Then I saw this challenge, first of all I was thinking of doing a 'congratulations on passing your driving test'....(which I guess would still work with just a change to the wording) but I decided on the important 18th birthday instead.  I used the inspiration of leaving childhood behind and being set free........ and what could be better than racing down Route 66 in a convertable with the wind in your hair and your whole life ahead of you.

Annabelle and Oliver

Hi there peeps, I am now throwing caution to the wind and trying another step in the big wide world of blogging. I am now aiming to link my finished card to a couple of challenges.
I have used the brand new steampunk/victorian images from Make it crafty, Annabelle and Oliver. I absolutly love this collection of images so there will no doubt be a number of other cards and items coming your way. These have been coloured with Copic markers. The green was made using YG11, G14 and G94. This has been the first time I have used Green as the main colour and I have to say I am very pleased with how it looks. I have also used Tim Holtz backing paper and embellishments.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
My Mums Craft Shop - Swirls and pearls
Moving along with the times - Favourite things
Again, I hope I have done this right....... I guess time will tell xx
