Tiddly Inks Samples Show off Challenge

Here is my second entry into the Tiddly Inks Samples Show Off Challenge .  For this picture I have used the gorgous 'Steampunker' and this weeks freebie digi stamp of the 'Suitcases' (both from Tiddly Inks) along with the wonderful 'Steampunk Treehouse' from Make It Crafty.

I love all of the images from the joint release and have numerous pictures made up waiting to be coloured!

Right I am off to bed now, I am shattered!!!!  So glad I got this finished before the deadline!! xx

Its getting late!!

Time is running out to get this entered into the Make it Crafty- Colour your Embellishments Challenge so I better make this quick!!  Here is my latest card, made for my best friend just for being her.  I have used 'Lover's Pavillion' (!) from MIC and 'Priscilla' and 'Precious' from TiddlyInks.  I have used magnolia butterfly and peony dies along with a Martha Stewart board punch to make my embellishments..... these I have dusted using chalks.

Challenges I would like to enter this into are

Make it Crafty Birthday Celebrations Monthly challenges.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the new images from the joint release between Make it Crafty and Tiddlyinks and have to admit to filling my addiction by getting every single image.......  How was I meant to choose a selection????  Luckily Graham loves me so much that he has agreed to wait for his next piece of fishing tackle to feed my needs!!!

Anyway I have made this picture up using six MIC images and 1 Tiddlyinks image as I am using this to enter 2 MIC challenges.  The images used are,' Oliver', 'Alexander', 'Victorian Chaise', 'Julliette', 'firplace' and 'picture frame' (all MIC) and 'Belle' from Tiddlyinks.  I have coloured the images using promarkers as I am wanting to enter it into the I Love Promarkers challenge blog aswell.

So challenges I am entering this this project into are ;-

My mum's craft shop challenge- a card for a teen

I decided to do something a little different from my usual 'thing' for this card.  I had Edwin and his car already coloured but could never really find the right idea to use them with.  Then I saw this challenge, first of all I was thinking of doing a 'congratulations on passing your driving test'....(which I guess would still work with just a change to the wording) but I decided on the important 18th birthday instead.  I used the inspiration of leaving childhood behind and being set free........ and what could be better than racing down Route 66 in a convertable with the wind in your hair and your whole life ahead of you.

So stoked!!!!

This is just a quicky post and I will be back along either later or tomorrow to show you what I have been up to lately but I just had to say how happy and surprised I am to have been picked as one of the top 3 for .Make it Colourful's unusual hair colour challenge last week!!!  As you can see from here I am really  new to this and am still having trouble finding my way around things.  But anyway I must be doing something right!!  So I am wearing my banner with great pride. xxx  See you all later......xxx

Feeling poorly and trying to colour!!!

Well this was going to be a post including a finished card for a few challenges but I have really taken a turn for the worse with the intercranial hypertension. The morphine is making me really sleepy and dizzy so I am having to give in. My best friend and her daughter have arrived from Wales for a few days and I really am a useless hostess. Its a good job my other half is awesome!
I am really not feeling well at all so I shall just get on and post the picture of my finished colouring for the 'make it colourful' unusual hair colours challenge. I was so hoping to get this completed but seeing as I can enter just the colouring then that is what I have to do!!! I am still getting used to this blogging lark anyway so everything I do is just more practise!!!
The image I have used is 'Zoe celebrates' from Make it crafty.

Annabelle and Oliver

Hi there peeps, I am now throwing caution to the wind and trying another step in the big wide world of blogging. I am now aiming to link my finished card to a couple of challenges.
I have used the brand new steampunk/victorian images from Make it crafty, Annabelle and Oliver. I absolutly love this collection of images so there will no doubt be a number of other cards and items coming your way. These have been coloured with Copic markers. The green was made using YG11, G14 and G94. This has been the first time I have used Green as the main colour and I have to say I am very pleased with how it looks. I have also used Tim Holtz backing paper and embellishments.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
My Mums Craft Shop - Swirls and pearls
Moving along with the times - Favourite things
Again, I hope I have done this right....... I guess time will tell xx

Day 2!!

This is just a quick post to get me into the habit of writing them!
Well here we are at mid day and it is boiling hot!!! So far I have spent this morning getting to grips with this blog and just learning a few more bits and pieces. I was very surprised when I actually got the TOMIC blinky to work!! Also if you are reading this then please check out the wonderful Make it Crafty and thier wonderful first birthday candy comp.
Right, back to this afternoon, I am planning on bossing the other half around and getting him to print out a whole new load of back grounds, papers and images for me to have a play with. I am going to sit up at my table with a nice cold milkshake and start on making some more cards out of all the various bits and pieces I have lying around. I have so much stuff and not enough room so at least if it gets made into something then bits wont get lost of damaged!!
Might even try and post pictures again later! xx

FIRST TIME

Well here goes, lets see if this works! I am finally entering the blog world. This is something I have wanted to do for years but have always put it off because of nerves or lack of confidence or whatever but after having a big talking to with myself I have decided that now is the time. Please bare with me this is really a tester right now..... if this works I shall be sharing many more pictures and useless information with you!
Right .... I am now going to attempt to add a picture of my latest card using a magnolia image....ahhhh ok, so the image has come out up there!! oh well I shall try and remember that in future but for now I am going to leave it all as it is. I guess it will be something to look back and laugh at when I become a wizz at this!!! Now all I have to do is save it to the blog......mmmm, this will either be goodbye from me for now or me being a very happy girl who can do things on her own after all!!!
