That Craft Place Challenge - Backgrounds

This fortnights challenge is
Backgrounds

I have used the stunning Castle Hideaway digital stamp from Make It Crafty and have teamed it up with
'Betty, fairest of them all' Villain from SBS.
This is now available in rubber from the store along with the other 3 gorgeous Betty Villains.
This is a fantastic tutorial on how to combine digital and rubber stamps to be able to create pictures like this.

We're in the Halloween mood as always here at Simply Challenged Challenges, so it's time for our 12 Months of Halloween challenge for September, can you believe it's September already, Halloween is so close I can almost taste it!!

So this month it's Anything Goes!

We got to play with the Victorian beauties Halloween digis this week and I had

Zombie James!!

I made him into a treat box and filled it with eye balls and body parts!
Obviously not real ones!!  My secret pumpkin buddy has this in their package..... I think real ones might have been taking the Halloween theme a little to far!!

Simply B Stamps- Teen Scene Jolly Christmas day 2

What did you all think of yesterdays previews?  That Betty is pretty good isn't she?

Today we have another 3 cuties to get you in the mood again and as yesterday we are hopping!!

Please leave us your thoughts!  We love reading your comments.

I have done 2 of 3 beauties again today and first up is

Nutcracker Christian.

I have to say, I do love this box!  I hope you can tell it is meant to resemble a drum!  The papers are from Graphic 45 and are the Nutcracker sweet collection.  Unfortunately due to lack of funds I was only able to get the 8x8 pad of papers.... really I wanted everything!!  (but isn't that always the way!!)
Now I have decided that whoever I get as my 'Secret Santa Receiver' over on the SBS fan page on Facebook will be getting this stuffed with goodies!!  Now if you aren't on the list come and join the gang and get signed up.  All the rules can be found there and you have until October 1st to join.  If you have seen any of our other swaps you will see how much fun they are.  Infact our Secret Pumpkin hop is coming up in a few days.... I can't wait to show you all what I got!  Its all amazing!!

Anyway....... so now we have

Sugar Plum Fairy Lola

Well, you can't have a nutcracker without a sugar plum fairy no can you!!

So I went away from the Christmas theme here just to show what else can be done with these images.  Can you imagine this tutu wreath hanging on the wall of some young girl who has dreams of being ballerina?

Well there you have it..... my two creations for today!  I have been trying hard to stay away from just cards this time..... but there is one coming tomorrow!!

But first up, don't forget to see what the other fabulous girls have been up to and check out today's third preview.......

Polar Express Jude

See you all tomorrow for the final three!!

MMCS- Christmas day

It looks like autumn is well and truly here.  It is sooooo cold!  But on a positive note that is just more of an excuse to stay inside and craft!

First off let me apologize for this post not being quite what it was planned.  Due to unforseen circumstances I wasn't able to complete this in its entirety.

Here is my card

I have used the newNativity scene from Woodware Clear stamps.
I love the simplicity of this image and kept the colouring 'blocky' to suit it.  I finished it off using white perfect pearls (which are my new favourite thing!!) Now this stamp fits perfectly onto a 3 x 3 inch card.  How ideal is this for school children to send to there friends?  This is where I wish my 13 year old was still little enough to do things like that!!
Why not stamp out a collection of these and then get your little one to colour them in themselves to give to their friends or teachers?  So much nicer than the shop bought ones and plus they then get to sit and colour with you!

And a £3.95 you can't go wrong!

As I said the plan was to have some of these coloured up by my niece for you to see aswell but unfortunately it didn't happen!  Maybe another time.

See you next week xxx

SCC- Anything goes

I am behind!!  Sorry .... please don't tell me off!  It's Graham's Birthday today and we have been out this morning..... by the time we got back I was so tired that I just fell asleep..... have just woken up and had it pointed out to me that I forgot my post!!!  I am useless!!  Last week I was so organized and had all my posts for the week done and this week things have just gone to pot!!
But I am here now....
.....so.....

This weeks challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges is

anything goes

This week we were given an image from the Ragdolls and I had Misty.

Here is my card.  I used the tiny 'wonky square' to cut all the papers at out.  I wanted to make a 'patchwork look for the background.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to see what the other girls have been up to, to see if you are a previous winner and of course to leave your entry for this challenge!!
See you soon!!!

That Craft Place - Bling it on

This fortnights challenge at That Craft Place is being hosted by ME!!  So please be kind to me!!  I haven't ever hosted a challenge like this before...

Well anyway the theme this time is

BLING IT ON!

We want to see your projects sparkle and shine, whether it be gems or glitter or anything else that sparkles, show us!!

Here is my inspiration project.

I have used a wooden bag blank available from the store and covered it with magnolia paper.  I used one full sheet of 12 x 12 to cover it.  The stamp is Tilda catching stars.   I have used some pearl swirls and single pearls to 'bling' it up but kept it in with the softness of the colours.  I also used 3 different styles of flowers.

Check out what the other fabulous girls have done over on our challenge blog.

My Mum's Craft shop - Stampendous Christmas

Can you believe it is Monday again already!  Where is the time going!

I popped into the shop one day last week, I have still yet to decide whether living so close is a blessing or a curse, there is always so much that catches my eye and when I saw this stamp, I knew it had to come home with me.

*NEW* Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamps - Tree Trim Kiddo

Isn't it just adorable??  This is called Tree Trim Kiddo and is by Stampendous.  This is my first stamp by them and I have to say it won't be my last.  This is a large image and it stamps just beautifully.
Here is my first Christmas card using it.

This is a 6x6 card blank so you can see the size of the stamp.
I kept the card nice and simple, I didn't think it needed to much.
The papers are actually from a pad that a lovely friend in America sent over for me.
This has been coloured using Copics and finished of with a Christmas tree charm, a scrap of twine and some glitter dimensional paint (again from my American friend)

So have you started your Christmas cards yet??
