Make It Crafty - Friends

This is my first weekly inspiration post since joining the gorgeous girls at MIC, so please bare with me! Our theme this week was 'Friends' with the added option of including 'Brown Hair'. I decided to venture away from the usual female images and went with http://www.makeitcrafty.com/sam-and-dylan-fishing-digi-stamp.html. This image reminds me of the stories my OH tells me about when he started fishing with his friends.

I think this image sums up friendship perfectly. I teamed the boys up with http://www.makeitcrafty.com/rainbow-meadow-digi-stamp.html to give them a background.

I wanted to keep things bright and cheerful.... hopefully the nicer weather isn't to far away for us in the UK although I am not holding my breath! I mounted and layered the image onto Tim Holtz distress paper using the green and the bkue to mimic the hills and the sky. I have used the cloud die from Memory Box to add some extra floating clouds to the scene. The chipboards are of course http://www.makeitcrafty.com/mini-dragonflies-chipboard.html and I have coloured them with blue Cosmic Shimmer Dazzel Paint. These dragonflies are a staple of my craft box and find I use them a lot!

I finished this off by using some of Graham's handmade pole floats. He is an avid fisherman and whilst I craft he makes his own own floats and rigs (the hook and line bits!! lol!!) He is very talented at this and he does know I have used these on this card!! Apparently they are some of his 'below par' makes so it was OK to use them!!
This has been coloured with my copics and I didn't make a note of what I used! Sorry, guess that is a new habit I have to get into.
I can tell you I used E50, E51, E53 with a touch of E13 for the skin tones and B93, B95, B97 and B99 for the jeans though!
