Saturated Canary Fashion Decades 1960 and 1970

Here are two more of the fashion decades images from Saturated Canary.

1960

1970

Saturated Canery Fashion Decades Contest 1950

My second fashion decade card is using 1950 from Saturated Canary.

I've used a combination of papers from Santoro, Kaiser craft and my leftover stash to make this layout.  The feathers were actually left over after making a corsage for Brenden to give to one of his dates for prom (yeap he had two girls on his arms!!).  I teamed these up with some red and black flower and finished off with a sheer bow and a piece of bling!

I would like to enter this into

Saturated Canary Fashion Decades contest. 1940s

When I saw that the lovely Krista from Saturated Canary was doing a fashion decades colouring contest, I knew I would be entering!

This is my card made using the 1940s image.

I teamed her up with the Botanical Tea collection from G45.
I wanted to achieve an afternoon tea look.

There is lots of fussy cutting, cameo cutting and dies used in this.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges

Shabby Chic at That Craft Place

Time for another challenge at TCP and this time it's Shabby Chic!

I have made a wall hanging using lots of gorgeous goodies from the shop, including one of the new gorgeous Buttonbox fairies!

This is the gorgeous Bella.

I have coloured her using my copics on Lisa's Super smooth card and used stampendus shabby pink embossing enamel to decorate.
The hanger, papers, all flowers and other bits and bobs were from TCP.

The image is IIIeana from Slinky Tart and I think she is gorgeous!!

The charm I have used on this card is actually a heart shaped locket that comes from That Craft Place, along with all the flowers, ribbon, skeleton leaves etc.  The sentiment stamp is from My Favourite Things an the papers are Graphic 45, both purchased from the lovely Lisa at TCP.

That Craft Place Challenge Time..... Inspired by a Film.

I'm back!!

Today, That Craft Place, is launching another of their fab challenges and for once, I have some inspiration to show you!!

The theme for this challenge is

Inspired by a film

This style of challenge are my favourites.

With it being Valentines day yesterday I chose to go for a good old soppy film.....

Love, Actually

The stamp is an exclusive club kit Marci from La La Land Crafts which I just totally adore.  I have used a combination of dies and my cameo to make the layers.  The flowers, trim. leaves and ceramic angel are from TCP.

Alice in Wonderland

This time I used the Alice in Wonderland digis from La La Land Crafts, (yes loving these at the moment!).  I used them to decorate Lisa's fabulous standing mushroom MDF laser cut.   If you haven't checked out what she is doing you really should.... the options are endless!!  I sprayed this with aerosol primer and then gave it a light even coat of gesso.  I use this method as the aerosol gives a really smooth finish and covers really well, the only problem being it doesn't really like be painted on.  I find a light coat of gesso really helps with this.... it doesn't need to be thick as the whiteness is already achieved, its just a better surface to paint onto.  I cut various different tufts of grass using my cameo.  The images were also printed and cut using the cameo softwear which saves hours of fussy cutting!!!  Then to make this more 3D I used small off cuts from acrylic packaging to make six tabs I then stuck them to the back of the images (top and bottom), to stand them away from the mushrooms.  I then finished it off by covering the front edge with more grass.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my all time favourites and I have been waiting for an idea to use with these mushrooms, so this just had to happen!!

Check out what other films have inspired the DT...... there is quite a selection
