Here we are with out first challenge of the month and this time it is
Corinne's turn to choose the theme.
INK IT UP
We want to see what you can do with your inks.
Here is my inspiration card using Jack from the Funky Pirates Digis.
I started by spritzing the card base with Turquoise Blue Glimmer mist, unfortunaetly you can't really see the shimmer but I think everyone of us knows that they twinkle lovely!!
I then took my largest acrylic block and wrapped it with string. Tied it off and stuck it down with a bit of tape on the back so that the string wouldn't move and then covered it with walnut stain distress ink.
I then stamped this onto the card .... the aim was to create a roughly woven net..... I like that you can see detail from the string.... so much more interesting than drawing lines! The map is made using greaseproof paper ripped and distressed again using stormy sky and antique paper inks. Jack is coloured using copics and the embellishments I found in a patchwork shop from Dress it up. They weren't cheap but I had to have them!!
You can find the linky and lots more inspiration over on the challenge blog.
