Good morning crafters..
I hope you are all well.... now I know that you all love your stamps but how do you feel about your digis???
So we thought we would challenge you to GET DIGITAL!! Yep digital images only for this challenge...
I decided to do something a bit different this time just to show how versatile digital images can be.......
A T-SHIRT!!!!
As regular followers will know by now I am a massive Simply B Stamps fan and this is just another of her adorable images. At present this image (Lolli from The Croquettes collection) is only available in clear stamp form, I was lucky enough to grab her when she was digi aswell. Although Betty is always doing different limited digi releases so you never know when these will pop back again! Become a follower of the blog http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.co.uk/ so you don't miss out on anything!
I blew this image up to full A4 size using the GIMP programme which is free to download from here http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
I then printed it in black and white onto T-shirt transfere paper. I took my time with lining it up and ironing it to the t-shirt just to make sure it was as perfect as I could get it. It is then very important to let the transfere cool before pealing off the backing paper.
I then set to work colouring her!! I used my Promarkers again (having already done a trial run before....which is a whole other story(!!) I know that the colour doesn't bleed or wash out.
This was made as a pressie for my beautiful niece...... who, and I quote, said....."This is my most favourite top I have ever seen and I am going to wear it everyday in the holidays!!"
You have to admit she does look gorgeous..... or am I just bias??
Having one offs like this makes her feel like a real princess and oh boy, does she like everyone to know it!!!
I am sure any child would love tops like this and there are so many fabulous digital images out there why not give it a go??
Don't forget to check out the main MMCS challenge blog to see what my super talent teamies have been up to. And give it a go yourself..... why not try something a little different???
Have you been over to MMCS online store yet?? There are loads of fabulous new goodies in there and it is definatly well worth a look....... just please don't come after me if you end up spending!!
Would love to hear what you think of this.

OMG, this is just tooooo cool! Gimp is what I am trying to learn to do my "MERGING" of digi's! I THINK I might have it... we shall wait and see... Now I have to check out "PROMARKERS" This is really an AWESOME JOB!!

This is great! I don't own any ProMarkers, do you think it will work with other mediums without running? Have you ever tried it with other mediums?
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly. This will (or should work) with alcohol pased pens .... ie :- Copics etc. It is best to do a little trial just to make sure the colours don't run in the washing machine. I have only ever used my promarkers but then I don't have to many copics anyway. Go on give it a go!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little girl!! I love what you've done with the shirt as well. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!
